Wool is a magical material that is naturally antimicrobial and antifungal. It is moisture wicking, dries quickly and naturally repels odors. Our sponges won’t scratch your dishes or your face. We love that our sponges are biodegradable and will never have that funky, kitchen sponge smell. We also love not having any microplastics near our faces or dishes.
These natural beauties can last up to 6 months with regular use. The fibers will tighten and shrink over time. We recommend hand-washing and letting air-dry in the sun, if possible. When you are finished with your sponge, just toss in the compost to return them to the earth.
Our sponges are made from the felted wool of our small flock of sheep in Sedro Woolley, Washington. Our sheep are pasture-raised and rotationally graze grasses and clover, putting a little more back into the soil than we take out. The majority of our flock are Clun Forest sheep, a Shave ‘em to Save ‘em Heritage Breed.
