Woolley Cheese Co. is our small family farm located in the heart of the Skagit Valley in Sedro Woolley.

With our two young daughters, we raise Clun Forest sheep on pasture. Cluns are a Livestock Conservancy Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em Heritage Breed.

Our flock are a hearty tri-purpose breed with gorgeous wool, rich milk and lean meat. Once a year we harvest their beautiful wool for use in roving, yarn and other fiber projects.

Our growing flock will one day provide milk for farmstead sheep and mixed milk cheese.

We process our grass-fed lamb into USDA custom cuts.

Meghan offers public and private cheese and butter making classes in the Puget Sound area and consults with other small farmstead creameries.

Meghan loves to share her knowledge of cheesemaking and small-scale farming with others. Please see the Classes page for more information.

Meghan has made cheese on farms in Washington, Ireland, France and Italy from cow, sheep and goat milk.

Clun Forest Fleece

We have a growing flock of Clun Forest and East Fresian/Lacaune sheep.

Our Cluns are part of the Shave ‘em to Save ‘em program through the Livestock Conservancy. They are a heritage breed from the Welsh hill country and they are beloved for their easy lambing, bouncy medium fibers, and rich milk. Historically used as a triple-purpose breed, Cluns are also hardy and efficient on grass pasture. We aspire to be good shepherds and cheesemakers worthy of the gifts these animals give us.
